Working with glass provides a wonderful outlet for my creativity. In the early '80s, when I was living in Texas, I took my first class in stained glass from Kate Loomiller. Now I live in Colorado and Kate & I have reconnected through our membership with Glass Artist Fellowship. Kate taught me how to modify lines to create graceful flows and use glass to create shading. Her beautiful work can be seen at her web site, River Song Art Glass. Another artist who has mentored me is Deb Steddom of Manitou Springs. Deb's encouragement has given me the impetus to create my own designs, which are inspired by photographs of nature, taken by my husband, Dan. My mother-in-law, Mary, is another artist whose work in watercolor and other mediums is simply gorgeous. She has nutured my artistic growth too and I appreciate her in many ways. I have ventured into the world of fused glass and truly delight in the wonderful surprises I find when I open the lid to my kiln. Working in the world of warm glass is just another avenue for me to create beautiful things with glass.

My journey in the world of glass has opened unlimited opportunities for learning, exploring, and creating.

I am blessed to share my life with my best friend and husband, Dan. He is my soul mate. We share our home with three, yes three, adorable basset hounds. Life with bassets is never dull and they are the most delightful companions and entertainers. We are members of the Basset Hound Club of America and find bassets to be a truly remarkable breed. There's nothing like a hound!

In addition to our artistic endeavors, Dan and I are software developers. In our free time, we love to ride our road and mountain bikes, ski, hike, and play with our bassets.

I would like to dedicate this site to the memory of my parents. My mother, who encouraged me to pursue art at an early age, and my father, who had a natural talent for creating beautiful landscapes. I keep both of you in my heart; you are deeply missed.
